Math, WALT: Multiply the following numbers by 10, 100 and 1000 (without using calculator)

 When multiplying decimals (numbers which have a decimal point in them) by 10, 100, 1000 we just shift the decimal point to the right

By 10, one place to the right 5.78 x 10 = 57.8

By 100, two places to the right 34.589 x 100 = 3458.9

By 1000, three places to the right 2.36976 x 1000 = 2369.76
