Out of the 600 conscientious objectors, 286 of them went to jail then 14 of those got sent to war. 10 eventually agreed to help as stretch bearers, and the other 4 got a field punishment. They were hanging from their shoulders which caused extreme pain. After this 3 agreed to help. The last man faced more painful punishments before he finally got sent home injured.
Who is Archibald, and why is his name famous now (100 years after this happened..)
Davlyn-Archibald is one of the 14, Archibald was punished by getting hanged on a pole and beating up he was one of the four that refused for the longest.

Then they started getting more people to get sprayed then a whole lot of people were lining up for the spray but they got the flu for staying next to each other. Then random people and kids went overseas to help the people at the war. Like kids delivering food and adults making coffins.

“Railey wake up!!” Davlyn said while shaking the bed that Railey was sleeping on “Huh what?” Railey said while Railey was still getting up Davlyn went to pack his stuff. “What are you doing?” Railey asked Davlyn “we have to pack our clothes” Davlyn answered “for what?” Railey asked “FOR THE TRIP TO GO SEE OUR PARENTS!!” Davlyn yelled “ohh, no need to yell” Railey whispered “WHAT!” Davlyn yelled “nothing bro” Railey said.
“Wow you finally got ready took you a year” Davlyn said “come on let's go then” Railey said “vroom” off they went in there big truck. “Ok we are here” said Davlyn “ok let’s go” said Railey “our flight is at 6:00 and the time is 5:40 so let’s go now.” said Davlyn “ok we are on the plane” said Railey.
“Why is the lane shaking?“ Davlyn asked while looking out the window “look at that” said Davlyn “what is that?” railey asked “IT IS A HOLE IN THE WING!!” Davlyn yelled “we need to tell the pilot” Railey said. ‘Knock knock’ the door went when the boys knocked on the door “yes what do you want” said the pilot “the wing has a hole in it” Railey said “no there is not” said the pilot said while closing the door. “Look Railey, some parachutes, let's grab them” said Davlyn “ok” Railey replied.”

Davlyn-in 1918 there were no vaccines because they did not know how to make them, vaccines are things that you put in your body to fight off all the viruses. In those days instead of the vaccines they used zinc sulphate gas to fight off the, to use the zinc sulphate gas you had to go in one area with heaps of other people which is the opposite of the isolation. virus but these days we know that the zinc sulphate gas. But after the four years of war people wanted to celebrate, some people tried to ban street parties. In this celebration the death poll results went up.

went overseas to help the soldiers inside France by giving them medical help. But none of them were really trained to help so they just randomly got people .Only one quarter of them helped them to recover and a third were in New Zealand. The kids peeled vegetables to make soup. The kids were also able to help deliver food. The adults would make coffins for the dead and also makeshift ambulances. The medical was helping soldiers but some of the medical helpers were unqualified to do it.The little kids peeled vegetables to make soup and help to deliver.Volunteer adults made a coffin for the dead soldiers.And a quarter of doctors and medical staff helped the soldiers. And The adults made coffins for the people that died. And people were able to help deliver food. At the end of the war there was a flu that hit New Zealand. Other people drove their cars as makeshift ambulances or built coffins for the dead. Lilla was the daughter of the clergyman in Christchurch. by the end of the war, the flu started spreading around New Zealand, And untrained volunteers and kids started to help. Kids such as boy scouts started and they started delivering food around the city To help people that are in need. And many people such as doctors were helping soldiers to get cured. when the flu hit a third of the doctors and almost a quarter of the nurses in New Zealand were overseas helping in the war. So adults and kids did some of the jobs boy some built a coffin and made food they also cleaned the dishes boy scouts delivered food to house to house. lilla leach was the daughter of a Clergyman in Christchurch she did work to.

This flu in 1918 was like the plague because they both go for your lung and then you get less oxygen so your skin changes. The strain was similar to the plague because it changes the skin when they die, the skin changes because the lungs gets flooded with liquid so it is difficult to breathe like the plague but it does not fill up with liquid.
The strain affected ages of 20 to 40 years old.

pandemic flu
There was a pandemic flu in 1914 during ww1 the death paul was shocking which means heaps of people died. Even in New Zealand people died. It started in north america but then some troops went to war went to war in europe but they carried the virus with them they did not have good immune systems so they got even more sick. The virus spread to the southern hemisphere some people recovered and over 50 million people died in the pandemic flu.
