There was a pandemic flu in 1914 during ww1 the death paul was shocking which means heaps of people died. Even in New Zealand people died. It started in north america but then some troops went to war went to war in europe but they carried the virus with them they did not have good immune systems so they got even more sick. The virus spread to the southern hemisphere some people recovered and over 50 million people died in the pandemic flu.
