Copy of fixing writing

Here is our edited story.
Things we learnt about were
We aren’t allowed to use then, and, also and because at the beginning of a sentence.
Speech marks go on the OUTSIDE of the full stop or other punctuation.
The end of a sentence can be marked by a full stop, an exclamation mark or a question mark. You don’t need to put an extra full stop after a question mark.
Remember to check ALL capital letters. Sometimes we need to put them in and sometimes we need to take them out.
On Monday 24th September 2018 Room 7 did a blindfold challenge. We wanted to have fun and make our morning a bit interesting by playing a game.

Firstly Miss Ashley told us the rules which was “no touching the tables or pieces of paper on the floor or you will lose points.“  However you are allowed to touch the chairs because you sometimes have to step over them to get to the end. Next we got into buddies. My buddy was Lucina.  We had to line up by the heater in our buddies.

First it was my turn to go so Lucina (my buddy)  put the blindfold on me (over my eyes) and helped me to stand up. The blindfold was tight it felt like a constrictor boa on my face. I felt so confused and disorientated because the blindfold was covering my eyes. Lucina told me to “go left, right, straight and step over.” I was feeling nervous and a little bit scared because “what if she was tricking me?“ and I was really doing something silly. I got to the end safely and took my blindfold off.

Next it was my buddies turn so I helped her put the blindfold on. I told her to walk straight first, then next turn left. She doesn’t know her lefts and rights so she went the wrong way.I said “no your other left” and it was a little bit funny. In the end we got to the blue fruit tray and we made it without losing any points!

I think I would like to do this activity again because it was cool to do something different and fun in class especially since it’s the end of the term and I think we are all feeling kind of tired.

WRITE YOUR STORY HERE:
On Friday the 21st of september in the morning I went into class and did my study sheet. When I did my spelling in my study sheet. I asked my teacher Miss Ashley if I can go and get my netbook to play on.

When the bell rang we had to wait for the other people that were outside playing. So while I was waiting I was talking to my friend. We were talking about what are we doing for writing we thought we were doing the blindfold challenge.

When the rest of the class came we all sat on the mat and did the roll. After the roll had to go and get a buddy for something we knew it was the blindfold challenge. When Miss Ashley told the rules she said she mad it harder. You first get with 10 points and if you stand on a paper or bump into a table you lose a point, if you make it there without losing any points you get a token. And I went first before my buddy stanly I got 10 points. When I was blindfolded I felt like a robot getting controlled because stanly was telling me where to go.

After that we had to wait for the other people to finish there one. When they finished it was my buddys turn to walk. he blindfolded himself because I did not no how to do it. When he started to walk he just hit a paper strate away and he lost a point it was like I told him to walk everywhere. But then we finally got to it he get 9 points, then we went back to the mat and sat down.

When we sat on the mat we all had our turn. Some of the people had 20 me and stanley got 19. Then we had to go and right this story.

VR BUNGY

I felt terrified and noushsh because I’ve never bungee jumped before in my life. When I was looking in the VR i looked down and I saw a metal dirty bridge. The ground was shaking like a earthquake. The dirty mietle bridge was tilting me of into the active volcano it looked like a bubbling soup. It also smelt like rotoroa and I said in my head “i'm going to die” because it was like I was falling 100mph. When I got to the bottom a lava bubble launched and it nearly got me while I was screaming “aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.” Then I launched back up like a rocket back to the top and then I kept on going up and down like a bouncy ball. Then finally landed back on to the dirty metal bridge and took my harness of and ran away and said to myself “i'm never going to do that again.”

Earthquakes

THIS IS FOR THE EARTHQUAKES ONE
                                 Earthquakes

How do Earthquakes happen:
Earthquakes mostly happen when two tectonic plates collide together. When they collide it makes the ground shake and it can make the crust go up and creates new mountains. The most dangerous place to be when earthquakes happen is on or near the epicenter. The closer you are to the epicenter, the more damage the earthquake causes, compared to other people that are further from the epicenter. If you are far from the epicenter you will have a higher chance of being safe from shockwaves.

Hard words:
Collide: (collide is when tectonic plates fight for the top like the game get on top) shockwave (shockwave are what makes the ground shakes)

What is going to be After:
After an earthquake is a big impact It is so unpredictable because it can destroy buildings or kill people or animals. Anything near the epicentre of the earthquake will have a bigger impact than something far away. After an earthquake, there are aftershocks which are small earthquakes that lessen over time. After an earthquake could be extremely dangerous, because it can leave heaps of cracks in the ground that could break your ankle by falling down the crack.

hard Words:
epicentre (the epicentre middle of the earthquake) extremely dangerous (extremely dangerous is when it is very dangerous)

                                    Tsunami:
Tsunamis can be caused the same way as earthquakes with 2 tectonic plates fighting. That is why when you have a big earthquake you should be expecting a big tsunami I got that form a school journal.
