Summer Learning Journey

My dream breakfast would be mountain sized stack of pancakes with a lot and a lot of maple syrup and a hot chocolate.

In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg and melted butter; mix until smooth.
Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Then you flip the pancake around then take it of. Then put it in a pile with maple syrup on it.

Whisk together the chocolate, cocoa powder, and sugar in a small saucepan.
Add the milk and set the saucepan over medium heat.
Then take it out and put it with the pancakes.

  1. Kia ora Davlyn,

My name is Hazel and I am part of the Summer Learning Journey team this year. We are so excited that you have chosen to blog with us as we learn all about the world around us.

I can see you've made an awesome start to all of the activities - ka pai! For this activity, you need to choose a favourite food, and explain to your reader how to make it. Have you made pancakes before? Maybe you could look up a recipe on Google (or in a cookbook) and post it on your blog?

I look forward to reading more of your posts over the next few weeks.

    Hazel :)

  2. Hi Davlyn...great to see you blogging on the SLJ. There's still some time to complete the activities before school begins - how many more can you get done? Keep up the great work!
