In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg and melted butter; mix until smooth.
Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Then you flip the pancake around then take it of. Then put it in a pile with maple syrup on it.
Whisk together the chocolate, cocoa powder, and sugar in a small saucepan.
Add the milk and set the saucepan over medium heat.
Then take it out and put it with the pancakes.

Kia ora Davlyn,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Hazel and I am part of the Summer Learning Journey team this year. We are so excited that you have chosen to blog with us as we learn all about the world around us.
I can see you've made an awesome start to all of the activities - ka pai! For this activity, you need to choose a favourite food, and explain to your reader how to make it. Have you made pancakes before? Maybe you could look up a recipe on Google (or in a cookbook) and post it on your blog?
I look forward to reading more of your posts over the next few weeks.
Hazel :)
Hi Davlyn...great to see you blogging on the SLJ. There's still some time to complete the activities before school begins - how many more can you get done? Keep up the great work!
